220 microfarad says "Booom!!!"

Waaaaaaaaaaa!!! my capacitor just blew out... I thought that it was because of the polarity but before I plug it up I realized that my TADA2050 IC is moving but I just ignored it... after the explosion I realized that it was because of the IC... When I looked at the legs of the IC I suddenly concluded that the reason why the capacitor exploded it's because the legs of the IC was already cut and there's no connection w/ it... hahaiz... The question is how much money will I use in order to finish this proj. >.< I hope that this day will be the last..
